Tender Management for Allied Bakeries.

 

Challenge: The client needed a detailed understanding of solutions design and operational implications of proposals from a previously submitted ITT by another consultancy to service providers.

Approach: First steps involved organising and intensive programme of site visits to fully appreciate the clients business needs across 17 locations. During the submission period, proposals were analysed in detail to determine their benefits and weaknesses. After deriving a shortlist , further Terms of Reference were drawn up by Means2 Consulting Ltd. for the second stage. Management of these responses and subsequent production of clear and concise documentation provided the client with the correct information to proceed with their chosen strategy.

Conclusion: The management of tender responses allowed the client to make an informed decision concerning the strategic direction of their supply chain development. As a result of our initial services, Means2 Consulting Ltd. were retained for the full management of the tendering procedure for the procurement of new Warehouse Management Systems for the Group and all its national distribution operations.
